Living with ADHD Mornings

The ADHD morning, in five scenes.

Swipe if any of these are you.

The short version.

01

Awake, but not up

You've been awake for forty minutes. You've planned the whole day in your head. You have not moved.

02

Coffee first. Then coffee.

You make it, put it down, and find it cold at eleven. Making it was the task. Drinking it was a different task.

03

Twelve tabs, zero starts

Everything feels urgent, so nothing gets picked. You open all of it and do none of it.

04

Getting dressed is a project

Find the shirt. Get distracted by the drawer. Remember the shirt. Discover the shirt is in the wash.

05

It's 10:40 and you're tired

Not from doing things. From deciding things. Every choice cost something, and none of them were the day.
